As court organist to the Prince-Archbishop of Salzburg, Johann Ernst Eberlin composed much music of a religious nature. His compositions include oratorios and sonatinas as well as many preludes and fugues. His work was held in high esteem by Mozart who used many of his works as examples for study.

The dynamics in this arrangement are very sketchy, as they would have been on most music of this period. I believe that many of the dynamics were done by Clifford P. Barnes, who transcribed the original work for the concert band, and whose arrangement I used as the basis for this one. I believe that many of the dynamics of the piece will be taken care of automatically because of the linear style in which it is written. Feel free to use whatever dynamic contrast that you might feel is necessary to present this piece successfully.
