Seasons, The

The Seasons is a four-movement suite for tuba and piano, set at a medium performance level. The name has been used many times over the years, but this one has a few new twists.  The titles of the movements are:

1. Spring Dance
2. Summer Stroll
3. Autumn Changes
4. February March

The dance is an easy 3/4 meter, with a flowing melody.  The stroll is a slow walk, offering time to take in one’s summer surroundings. Autumn Changes has a focus on the interval of the fourth and contains some quartal harmony.  The closing march gives a rousing close to the set.

The Seasons will be fun for the player and for the listener.
